Shopping in Ironbridge

You can shop until you drop in Ironbridge. The small market town boasts a number of distinctive, independent antiques and gift shops all dotted around town, although The High Street and The Square are the main shopping areas.

You’ll also find a wide range of traditional crafts for sale at the town’s Maws Craft Centre. The centre is made up of 20 small unique units and includes arts and crafts, food and drink, health and beauty as well as works of art.

All of the handiwork on display at the centre has been made on the premises by skilled craftspeople and is available for you buy.

If you’re crafty too, the craftsmen and women offer beginners classes for visitors wanting to learn a particular skill.

Most of the ten Museums also have their own Museum shop. They are the ideal place to buy a memento of your day, although you can visit the shops without going into the main Museum, so it’s perfect for those simply wanting to bend the plastic.

If you’re feeling all shopped out, you can take a break at the wide selection of pubs, restaurants and cafes. Whether you want a light lunch, snack or a full blown banquet, it’s the perfect excuse to dine out and it’ll leave your taste buds, well and truly satisfied.
